Jesus said, ‘My sheep know My Voice…’
There is a creative element in all the words that you speak.
You can speak the Word of the Lord and you can speak it 100% accurately.
The secret is to listen clearly and speak only what you are told to speak. Then you will prophesy 100% accurately.
If we are aware of some of the telltale signs of prophetic words in our own spirit, it will become easier to discern the word.
Below is one method that I often use and is very effective for me in hearing the voice of God:
I remember a recent time I called on the Lord for a word.
This is what I received:
The word 'ice cream' came into my mind.
So I wrote it down thinking that it was a thought of the flesh that came from my sub-conscience and had nothing to with the Word of God. Again the same word came to me - ice cream. I looked at the word and wondered what the Lord was saying to me.
Then it came to me in a flash - 'your heart is like ice, and my word is like cream'.
WOW God has spoken to me. God is so good.
I received this as the Word of God and knew at that point that I needed to repent and truly feed on His Word.
He does want to speak to us and through us, to those around us who so desperately need a word from the Lord.
